I loved how Alric was patient and tried to understand her and tried giving her the time she needed. Their relationship was real and you could see it growing throughout the book. I'm so used to reading T.M. Nielsen's Heku series that it took me awhile to adjust to this new book of hers. But by the end of the book I was wishing for more pages, I wanted to keep reading.
